What we do

Dentures replace missing teeth with a custom set you can take out. A full denture replaces every tooth on the top or bottom. A partial fills gaps and clips to the teeth you still have. And implant dentures attach to a few dental implants so they stay put when you eat and talk. Fittings and adjustments happen here in the office.

Full, partial, or implant: the real differences

A full denture rests on your gums and is held by suction and a good fit. It's the most affordable way to replace a whole arch. A partial replaces a few teeth and hooks onto your natural teeth, so it's more stable than a full denture and keeps your other teeth from shifting into the gaps.

Implant dentures are the step up in stability. A removable snap-on denture clips onto a few implants and comes out for cleaning. A fixed implant denture is attached to more implants and only the dentist takes it off. Both stop the slipping and rubbing that bother many denture wearers, and implants help preserve the jawbone.

How dentures are made here

We start with an exam and x-rays, and a 3D scan if implants are on the table. If teeth need to come out first, we'll explain the order of things and how you'll look and eat in between. The denture is made to your mouth, then fitted and fine-tuned here. Expect a few adjustment visits in the first weeks; sore spots are normal early on and easy to fix.

Living with dentures

Take them out to clean them and give your gums a rest at night. Your mouth changes over time, so dentures eventually need relining or replacing to keep fitting well. If yours are loose, cracked, or rubbing, come in. Sometimes an adjustment or reline solves it; sometimes it's time for a new set or a move to implant support. We'll give you the options and prices side by side.

Questions

About dentures and partials

Do I need all my teeth pulled to get dentures?
Not always. If some healthy teeth remain, a partial denture may keep them in place. We only recommend removing teeth that can't be saved.
Can I sleep in my dentures?
It's better to take them out at night. Your gums need time to rest, and cleaning them overnight helps prevent irritation.
What's the difference between snap-on and fixed implant dentures?
A snap-on denture clips onto a few implants and you remove it for cleaning. A fixed implant denture is attached to more implants and stays in unless the dentist removes it. Fixed usually needs more bone and costs more.
Does insurance cover dentures?
Many plans cover dentures as major restorative care, often around half after the deductible, up to the yearly maximum. We check your plan and give you the cost in writing first.
