What we do

Professional whitening lightens the natural color of your teeth far more than store-bought strips. We use ZOOM, a light-activated in-office system that can brighten teeth by up to eight shades in one visit. It's for anyone with healthy teeth and gums who wants a brighter smile, fast.

What happens at the appointment

We protect your lips and gums, apply the whitening gel to your teeth, and activate it with the ZOOM light in a few short rounds. You can relax, listen to something, or watch TV while it works. When you leave, the difference is visible right away.

Who it works for, and who it doesn't

Whitening works on natural enamel. It won't change the color of crowns, fillings, veneers or bonding, so if you have those on front teeth, we'll plan around them. Deep internal stains sometimes don't respond as well; in that case veneers or bonding may be the better route. We check for cavities and gum problems first, because whitening on unhealthy teeth can be uncomfortable.

Making it last

Results typically last months. Coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco bring stains back faster. Good brushing, regular cleanings, and occasional touch-ups keep your teeth bright. Some temporary sensitivity after whitening is common and fades within a day or two.

Questions

About teeth whitening

Is professional whitening safe?
Yes, when it's done after an exam and under a dentist's supervision. We protect your gums during treatment and check that your teeth are healthy first.
Will whitening make my teeth sensitive?
Some people feel sensitivity for a day or two afterward. It passes. Tell us if you already have sensitive teeth so we can plan for it.
Does insurance cover whitening?
No, whitening is cosmetic, so plans don't cover it. We'll give you the price in writing before the appointment.
