Getting to know Dr. Diana Vazquez
How she found dentistry
In high school she joined a program that let students shadow and assist at a local dental office. Elementary school kids came in for care, and she helped with their cleanings and fillings. She hadn't considered dentistry before that. By the end of the program she had.
What she likes about the work
Getting to know people, and being able to solve their problems right away. Better health and more confidence are what she's after for every patient, and she likes seeing both happen.
How she practices
She trained in sedation so nervous patients have real options, and in Invisalign and Straight-Wire orthodontics so she can straighten teeth for her own patients. She'll show you what she sees on the screen and walk through the choices before anything starts.
Outside the office
Dr. Vazquez met her husband, Joel, in college, and they recently welcomed their first child, Emma. At home she likes long walks and an audiobook while she gets things done around the house, and she loves to travel and experience new cultures.
